For this Shabbat, I have prepared a study sheet on the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, which is designed to aid reflection on the war in Gaza. The biblical text is surrounded by commentaries from a wide range of sources, from Rashi to the Red Cross, from Israel’s Supreme Court to the IDF’s manual of military law. There are also some observations of my own.
