Things I do

It would be fantastic if you wanted to join Brighton and Hove Progressive Synagogue, but even if not, there are things I can do for you! I’m happy to travel throughout Sussex, or occasionally beyond – or there’s always Zoom!

The most important thing is: ask. The worst that can happen is I’ll say no, but that isn’t really very likely.

Speaking and teaching

I’m always keen to share the beauty and excitement of Jewish texts with wider audience. Whether you have a group of adults or children, Jews or non-Jews, I’m happy to work with you to deliver a bespoke session on a subject of interest. You can browse some past handouts from my classes, or come up with a new topic entirely of your own. A particular interest of mine is modern social justice and law through the prism of traditional Judaism. I am happy to teach in real life or over Zoom as you think best. Be in touch!

Synagogue visits

Do you want to visit a synagogue? Or have a visit from a rabbi? Be in touch! From Scouts to schools to freemasons, I can introduce your group (or just you) to Judaism.

Lifecycle events

Are you getting married? (Or divorced?) Are you thinking ahead to your own funeral, or suddenly bereaved? I will work with you to create a meaningful and inclusive occasion. I officiate Jewish funerals – burial, woodland burial and cremation – throughout Brighton and Hove, Sussex and beyond. Please don’t hesitate to contact me. No question is strange or offensive or problematic, and I will always strive to craft the ceremony that you want.

Chats

If you just want to talk to a rabbi, or if you’re not sure what you want, I’m here.
