Shavua tov!

Spot on, as always – eg the folk, passim, who want to repeal the Human Rights Act and resile from the ECHR. Do they really want a less equal society in which people face persecution for their religion or beliefs, or for the way they conduct their private and family lives?
The more I read your stuff, the more I wonder whether I must have far-off Jewish ancestors of whom I’m unaware or – much more likely – whether there are basically just two kinds of religion: the religion of those who think and question, and the religion of those who don’t do either of those things. And I suspect that both versions exist in Christianity, Judaism and Islam. But whatever, the older I get (and I’m getting very old) the more I find Bible-quoting Evangelical Christians a total pain.
All the best,
Frank
Liberal Jews and Quakers have a long history of fruitful co-operation and I’m sure that’s no coincidence!
