A sermon from 1935

This Shabbat, Brighton and Hove Progressive Synagogue celebrated its 90th anniversary with a reënactment of our first service in 1935.

We wore period clothing, used the 1928 Liberal Jewish Prayer-book, and I did my best to get into the character of a rabbi of happier, simpler times for this sermon:
